Andrew Carty Managing Director
Andrew began his working career in the Banking Industry in 1988 with the Commonwealth Bank in Melbourne and eventually moved to the NAB working within their Treasury area. In 1994 Andrew moved to Brisbane, briefly working for what was then Metway Bank in their lending area before making a major career change and moving into a Financial Controller position with a Panel Beating and Taxi business. In 1995 Andrew became financial controller for a major taxi fleet operator in Brisbane, eventually going into partnership with the owners. During this time, he learnt out of necessity much about engines and how they work. He was also a board member and Treasurer of Brisbane Boarders Association, a charity that managed a portfolio of 8 properties and a Crisis Centre in Brisbane that provided affordable housing to those in need. In 1998, Andrew moved from Brisbane to the Gold Coast and began working as Financial Controller for the Australasian Region of N/A/T/O International, a company that manufactured and marketed the Bitron range of products throughout North America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. In 2000, he took over as Group General Manager – Australasia with responsibility for Bitron operations in Australia, New Zealand and eventually Taiwan. In 2003 Australia and New Zealand was spun off from the parent company in Canada. Andrew established Bitron International and purchased the trademarks and client base. Andrew has been responsible for driving Bitron’s growth, initially in Australia and more recently in its expansion into International markets. With his financial background and 13 years experience with all facets of the Bitron business, from manufacturing through to sale of the end product, he is one of the driving forces behind Bitron’s continuing success.

David Carty Director – Sales & Marketing
David brings a wealth of sales experience to Bitron having worked in sales for over 50 years. David began his sales career in Melbourne in 1960 with Brooklyn’s, an automotive spare parts business, becoming their top Sales Rep in 1963 and maintaining this through until he left the company in 1968. David set up his own successful motor spare parts business from scratch in 1968 and from then until 1978 when he sold the company, managed to build up a highly successful business. In mid-1978 he moved his young family to Queensland and bought a Caravan Park in Hervey Bay which his wife and he ran successfully until they sold it in 1983. David then went into Real Estate, initially working for a major real estate company where he became their top performing Sales Rep in Queensland, before leaving and setting up his own independent real estate business in 1985. In 1990, David sold his real estate franchise and moved to Mackay where he owned and managed firstly a successful Motel and then a Caravan Park. In 2004 after he had sold the caravan park, his son Andrew offered him the opportunity to join Bitron as a Sales Rep working from the Mackay area as far north as Townsville. During the period up until 2007, David successfully built up his North Queensland area and in the process became Bitron’s top sales earner. With a major change in management in 2007, David was offered the opportunity to become a partner in Bitron and was appointed Director – Sales and Marketing. He became responsible for overseeing the company’s sales staff and distributor networks, identifying new growth opportunities for Bitron, marketing – particularly in conjunction with the company’s distributors and identifying potential new sales areas both Nationally and Internationally. He is also heavily involved in the appointment of new distributors and continues to take a ‘hands on’ approach to sales, maintaining his original sales area in North Queensland. David has been instrumental in the growth of the Company’s Distributor Networks and continues to be one of the Company’s top sales earners.

Leonard Woolhouse Industrial Chemist
Len joined Bitron International in May 2009 as consulting chemist. Len has over 40 years experience in the fuel and lubricant industries, working as chief chemist in Australia for a major international fuel company for many years. Len has also managed his own company specialising in lubricant enhancers.
Len brings a vast amount of knowledge and experience to Bitron International which has allowed the Company to move its focus towards not only the supply of high quality lubricants but to also offer more ‘solutions’ based services to its clients such as custom formulations blended to solve specific issues and more targeted technical advice.

Greg Anderson Operations & Logistics Manager
Greg’s career began in the IT industry in the early 1990’s owning and operating a computer services business and internet service provider before moving into the customer and technical services division of Australia’s largest electronics and computer retailer, an ASX-200 company. In 2005, Greg entered the transport industry with Australia’s number one rated parcel delivery company in Depot, Customer Service and Fleet Operations roles, before purchasing several transport businesses of his own. Greg brought his information and transport systems experience to Bitron International in 2008 and has since been pivotal in further developing efficient operations, warehousing and distribution for our company. Greg has a keen interest in environmental issues and sustainable business practices, is a qualified Work Health & Safety Practitioner and holds International Maritime Dangerous Goods Certification.

Kevin Ambury Administration Manager
Kevin began working with us in 2009, bringing with him a decade of Public sector Office Management and Administration skills to the Bitron International team. He has experience in various roles including Executive Support Officer, Triage Clerk (Front Desk – Emergency Department) and various other Clinical Administration & Customer Service positions.
Kevin has a keen interest and much experience in Information Systems and Technology, and is currently undertaking a Certificate IV – IT (Websites) course with Prime Learning Australia. The course has a strong focus on Website Design, but also incorporates elements of Graphic Design and Animation which will allow Kevin to express his creativity through his work. With his newly acquired skills in Website Design, Kevin now manages all aspects of our website.
